I’ll be leading a Bourbon & Rye tasting/class at 18 Reasons on Tuesday, March 22. We’ll take an introductory look at these two distinctly American spirits, talk a bit about their history and taste 3 examples of each including Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon, Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, W.L. Weller 12 year old Bourbon, Rittenhouse 100 Rye, the new Bulleit (95) Rye, and local heroes Anchor Distilling’s 18th Century Style 100% Rye Whiskey.
Yes, I know both Bourbon and Rye are all the rage amongst the artisanal cocktail set, as well they should be. We won’t be talking cocktails here (at least not much), I do not have a handlebar mustache and I will not be wearing suspenders or arm garters.
