Whisky Roundtable #5 October 5, 2010 ~ The Casks The fifth installment of the Whisky Roundtable has arrived. This month, Keith of Whisky Emporium is our host (and an excellent host at that, everything looks great, Keith!) and the question has to do with the interesting issue of bottle aging: I know that officially the ageing or maturation of whisky is defined as the time spent in oak casks, but apart from that, do you believe in any form of ‘bottle ageing’ being accountable for changes in the flavour of whisky over a period of years whilst still in the bottle? You can find our responses here on Whisky Emporium.
