Remember those dashing, young-ish, arguably somewhat handsome gentlemen who started not only the Single Cask Nation whisky society, but the large-scale Whisky Jewbilee expos as well? Of course you do. Especially if you’re on the East Coast where they’ve tended to ply most of their trade. For those of us in the Midwest, we’ve not yet had the pleasure of one of their by-all-accounts excellent Jewbilees, but that is about to change. On Tuesday, October 27th, the unique Salvage One space in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago will host the first Whisky Jewbilee held outside the great state of New York. There are around 80 brands and 250 whiskies on the pour list. For those few who, for whatever reason, can’t exist on whisky alone, there will also be barbecue and cigars.
